Fuck you America.
After hearing so many interesting things about that dateline NBC show about catching a sexual predator, I decided to watch it and I was fucking apalled. The majority of those guys are NOT sexual predators; they're fucking decent human beings whose lives are now officially ruined. Sure, they did a stupid thing by giong to the girl's house; but most of them wouldn't have had the fucking guts to try anything else. It's fucking ridiculous how, just to make money, a show would spend all their media attention and coverage to apprehend these guys. Decent human beings that've worked hard their entire lives now have criminal records. It's not bloody fucking fair. I know one of those guys too, from silicon valley. A very decent individual and many more like him. Talk about defaming computer engineers who happen to be indian, so fuck that.

Well after reading a few things about their methods, I've come to the following conclusion:
I feel very little pity for the men who got busted for this. They knew they were going to the homes of 12 and 13 year olds. They knew why they were going there. And the bottom line is, they SHOULD NOT have gone there.
That being said, Dateline's methods seem to be under a fair bit of scrutiny, and it does appear that they are bordering on entrapment. And I also highly doubt that they even run the series for any other reason than ratings.

Umm... How can you not see where he's coming from? These guys are going to the houses of pre-pubesent kids to engage in sexual acts.

Yes, I understand they do it for ratings, but they are making a legitimate point. So... why did they go? I don't particularly see how race factors into this piece either...
