Children of Men

Well, Reuben and I went to see Children of men on Saturday and it was a pretty damn good movie. I have a few qualms with the movie, but nothing significant. Overall, the concept was excellent and the execution, almost on par with said concept.

Afterwards, we came across this Indian (perhaps fijian guy) who approached us and started speaking to us in hindi. He said something along the lines of "bhaiya, zindagi mein, hum lakdi kaat kar, chudi banaate hain" (in life, we cut the wood in order to make contraptions for ourselves, brother). He did this whilst showing me a carved up wooden mini-machete like contraption that he had just come up with. I labeled him insane. He asked us to by him a cheeseburger, so I just gave him $1.25 in change so that he'd leave us alone. Worthless bum. I liked that machete-like contraption, though. I wanted it.

On my way back home at the Broadway skytrain station, this drunk 17 year old was getting arrested for being a cocksucker. He took a swing at an 0ff-duty cop, who instantly cuffed his candy ass. The shit-faced kid threatened to sue the cop, naturally, as any delinquent with a similar demeanor would have, as well. I watched this little fiasco continue for a few more minutes, and then headed off home.

Someone apparently committed suicide at the Granville skytrain station while jumping onto the tracks just before the train got there. This was the second medical emergency in one week at that station. I presume both cases were suicides, as a plethora of people were speculating in the skytrain that we were held at. Not many people seemed that concerned that it was a suicide, they were more in a hurry (like me) to get to their destination. I did, however, feel some remorse for those people and their families, presuming said speculations are true.

That all in all was a relatively mediocre day.

bukkake.

Comments:
I think the moral of that day was, "There are too many bums in tinseltown."

Thanks for calling a day with me 'mediocre' you lurt. And to think I was about to blog about how while that day was technically a waste ( since I could've spent the time studying for my midterm), in actuality it wasn't.

I was being sarcastic, stophit Rohbit. The very fact that I blogged about it--considering I don't even blog about days that are interesting--SHOULD'VE been a hint. I guess I was wrong. :P

Haha... You guys crack me up. I wanted to see Children of Men even before it was released, but never got around to it.

Fine, but your ability to be sarcastic on blogs sucks.

And you're still a lurt.

Awesome movie, mai. You should try and catch it before tinseltown drops it.

No it doesn't and you know it. Besides, YOU'RE the lurt; you will always be the lurt.

re "children of men": great movie, you really should catch it before it gets dropped.

Kyle: no clue, man. I tried checking it out, but found nothing.

yikes!!! reminds me of my forensics class where the Vanc.Coroner showed us pics of a suicide that took place at the Burnaby skytrain station years ago... it wasn't a pretty sight.
