Snow Cake
I just watched Snow Cake and it was awesome. It's very low-key and very character-based. It's somewhat maddening at times but damn is it powerful. And yes, it does have an actual snow-cake as that from Reuben's blog. Though the movie is hardly about that, it's still an incredible movie.
